NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday, the 12 September 2021 (Sunday) in Pen and Paper mode in 13 languages, as a uniform entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental /AYUSH and other Colleges/ Deemed Universities /Institutes (AIIMS & JIPMER) in India, as per Section 14 of The National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019 and relevant Graduate Medical Education Regulations (GMER) 1997, as amended from time to time. The languages in which the NEET (UG) 2021 would be conducted are : English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
The Result of NEET (UG) – 2021 may be utilized by other Entities of Central and State Governments, in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The result data may also be utilized for B.Sc. (H) Nursing courses in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules.The NEET (UG) – 2021 result data could also be used for admissions to BVSc & AH courses under the 15% quota of VCI in recognized Veterinary Colleges. However, the Council has to approach the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW in order to obtain the said data of results.
The responsibility of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of the result and providing category-wise “All India Rank (AIR)” /Merit List to: the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) & Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, for the conduct of counselling by: the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses for the following types of quotas: a) 15% seats All India Quota, b) 100% seats of Central Institutions (including 85% State quota seats) of ABVIMS& RML Hospital/VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital/ Central Universities (including DU/ BHU /AMU, c) 100% seats of AIIMS/ JIPMER and Deemed Universities, d) ESIC (IP quota seats) e) MCC does only the registration for AFMC and forwards the data of registered Candidates to AFMC Authorities for admission process ; AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) for admission to BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS under Central Quota Seats; and providing the Result to the Counseling Authorities of States/UTs through DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services). Application Form for NEET will tentatively start in July 2022, as NTA released the official information brochure. Application process can be completed in online mode only. Candidates must have a working mobile number and an email ID to fill NEET Application Form.

NEET is conducted in online mode only. The question paper has objective type questions. There are 200 questions divided into four sections. In 2022, NTA has decided to divide each section into 2 parts- A and B. Section B will have 15 questions, out of which candidates will be required to attempt any 10. Duration of NEET is 180 minutes. For each correct answer, 4 marks are awarded and for each incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted from candidates’ score.

Compared to the other two subjects, NEET biology syllabus is way more concise. Zoology and Botany are the two constituent chapters of Biology. It consists of 10 chapters. There are 5 chapters in class XI and class XII (in each).

To get a high score in NEET exam, each of the applicants should go through the following section wise weightage. It helps them to understand the allotted marks of each section and can find out the importance of the chapters and hence, can prepare themselves accordingly. ‘
Physics is the more complicated section than the other two sections. Consequently, the candidates spend most of the time solving this section. On the other hand, the Physics section is comparatively time consuming. The candidates have to solve eight difficult questions out of 45. No. NEET is so far conducted annually. Dates for NEET are yet to be released. NEET 2021 was conducted on 12th September 2021.
Up till now, the maximum number of attempts was three in number. But from NEET 2020 onwards, there has been no such restriction on the number of attempts provisionally. The matter is still in court for the same. Candidates above 25 years of age can provisionally take up NEET with 5 years of relaxation for SC/ST/OBCcategory considering the present situation of the matter being in court and decision pending.
NEET now serves as the single entrance exams to seek admissions for medical courses across the country dismissing JIPMER and AIIMS. For now, there are no revisions yet on NEET 2022. NEET 2021 registration process took place in 2 sets. NEET 2021 was conducted in 13 languages with slight changes in the pattern. Each subject has 2 sections – Section A (35 questions), Section B (15 questions). Any 10 questions can be attempted from Section B.
